Storage tanks for liquefied natural gas (LNG) must meet specific and strict technical guidelines.

Whether they are buried, above ground or suitable for transport, all LNG tanks must be capable of storing liquid gas at very low temperatures (-162°C/-260°F) and must consist of double containers:

  • An inner container for LNG
  • An outer container for insulating materials.

Obviously the dimensions of the tanks may vary according to uses and needs.

At Metalpress we are able to produce dished heads for LNG Tanks, complying with all the required technical parameters, and also performing the necessary conformity tests.
